2. Information We Collect
Account Information
- Email address and password (via Firebase Authentication)
- Business name and phone number
Quote & Customer Data
- Customer names, email addresses, and phone numbers you enter
- Property addresses and service line items
- Property photos you upload
- AI-generated preview images of proposed work
Payment Information
- Subscription and billing data processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card numbers — Stripe handles all payment processing.
Usage Data
- Product analytics via PostHog (page views, feature usage, session recordings). PostHog is self-hosted/cloud and does not sell your data.
- Error logs and performance metrics for reliability
Location Data
- Property addresses entered for quotes (geocoded via Google Maps API). We do not track your device GPS location.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the GreenLens platform
- To generate AI-powered work previews from your property photos
- To send quotes and photo requests to your customers (via SMS/email)
- To process subscription payments
- To improve our product through analytics
- To communicate with you about your account
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your data. We share information only with:
- Google Cloud Platform — infrastructure, Firestore database, Cloud Run hosting
- Firebase — authentication
- Google Gemini — AI image generation (property photos are sent for processing)
- Google Maps — address geocoding and map display
- Stripe — payment processing
- Twilio — SMS delivery for photo requests
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- PostHog — product analytics
5. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on Google Cloud Platform (US regions). We use encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest (Google-managed encryption). Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel only.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it.
7. Your Rights
You may:
- Request a copy of your data
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Update your business profile at any time
- Opt out of non-essential communications

8. SMS & Text Messaging
GreenLens uses SMS text messaging to facilitate communication between landscaping professionals and their customers. By using our platform, you acknowledge the following:
Messages We Send
- Photo requests — When a landscaper requests property photos, the customer receives an SMS with a secure upload link.
- Quote notifications — When a landscaper sends a quote, the customer receives an SMS with a link to view the quote.
- Account notifications — Landscapers may receive SMS notifications about their account or subscription status.
Consent & Opt-Out
- Customers receive SMS only when a landscaper initiates a quote or photo request using the customer's phone number. No marketing or promotional messages are sent.
- Recipients can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for assistance.
- Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on landscaper activity.
SMS Data
Phone numbers provided for SMS delivery are used solely for the purpose of sending the requested communication. We will not share or sell mobile opt-in data, phone numbers, or any SMS-related data collected through our SMS program to third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS is delivered via Twilio, our messaging provider.
9. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication (Firebase session tokens). PostHog may use cookies for analytics. We do not use advertising cookies.
10. Children's Privacy
GreenLens is a B2B platform for landscaping professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice.
