Overview

GreenLens Platform SMS Policy

GreenLens is a software platform that provides messaging infrastructure for participating landscaping businesses. Consumers opt in to receive transactional text messages from a specific landscaping business using GreenLens.

Each participating landscaper operates their own SMS messaging program through the GreenLens platform. Brand-specific consent language, sample messages, and contact information are provided on that business's public SMS policy page.

GreenLens powers the delivery of transactional SMS messages on behalf of participating landscaper brands. All communication is initiated when a homeowner contacts a landscaper to request a quote for landscaping services. We do not send marketing, promotional, or unsolicited messages. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency: 1–3 messages per service interaction.

Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from GreenLens or any landscaping professional using the platform.

How Consent Is Collected

All SMS communication begins when a homeowner reaches out to a landscaper requesting a quote for landscaping services (e.g., via phone call, website form, or in-person conversation). The homeowner voluntarily provides their phone number as part of this inquiry. The landscaper then uses GreenLens to prepare the requested quote, and the system sends an opt-in SMS to confirm the homeowner's consent before delivering any messages. The homeowner must reply YES to consent to receiving SMS messages.

The opt-in flow works as follows:

  1. A homeowner contacts a landscaper to request a quote for landscaping services and provides their phone number.
  2. The landscaper uses GreenLens to create the requested quote, entering the homeowner's phone number provided during the inquiry.
  3. GreenLens sends a one-time opt-in SMS to the homeowner asking them to reply YES to receive messages related to their quote request.
  4. When the homeowner replies YES, a confirmation SMS is sent and the homeowner is subscribed.
  5. Only after consent is confirmed are transactional messages (the requested quote, property photo requests) delivered.

Any messages the landscaper sends before the customer replies YES are held in a queue and delivered automatically once consent is confirmed (within 48 hours). Messages older than 48 hours are discarded.

Below is the opt-in SMS a homeowner receives after they contact a landscaper requesting a quote and the landscaper creates that quote in GreenLens:

Message Types & Frequency

The following types of transactional SMS messages are sent through the GreenLens platform, all in direct response to a homeowner's request for a landscaping quote:

  • Quote Ready Notification — Sent when the landscaper finalizes the quote the homeowner requested. Contains a link to view the quote online.
  • Quote Reminder — A follow-up reminder if the homeowner has not yet responded to a previously sent quote.
  • Photo Request — Sent when the landscaper needs photos of the homeowner's property to prepare an accurate estimate for the requested job. Contains a link to upload photos.

Message frequency is low — typically 1 to 3 messages per homeowner per service interaction. No recurring, subscription-based, or marketing messaging occurs. All messages are directly related to the homeowner's original inquiry.

Opt-Out Instructions

Customers can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message received from GreenLens. Upon receiving a STOP request, no further messages will be sent to that phone number.

Customers can also contact us at support@greenlens.app to request removal from SMS communications.

Help

Customers can reply HELP to any message for assistance. They will receive a response with contact information and opt-out instructions.

Data Protection

Phone numbers are stored securely and used solely for delivering quote-related notifications. We do not sell, share, or use customer phone numbers for any purpose other than the transactional messages described above. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
